MagArrow II

UAV-Deployed Total-Field Magnetometer

The MagArrow II is a self-contained UAV magnetometer built on laser-pumped cesium vapor sensors in a dual-sensor, no-dead-zone architecture. With 1000 Hz sampling it surveys at up to ~10 m/s while holding roughly 1 cm sample spacing. Onboard GPS, Wi-Fi, storage, and hot-swappable batteries make it UAV-agnostic and fast to deploy on Harris Aerial Carrier airframes.

Why It Performs

Cesium-Vapor Sensitivity, No Drop-Outs

Dual-sensor cesium vapor, 1000 Hz sampling, and a fully self-contained design for fast, reliable surveys.

Laser-Pumped Cesium Vapor

Cs-133 (non-radioactive) total-field scalar sensing with 0.005 nT/√Hz typical noise across a 20,000–100,000 nT range.

No Dead Zones, Dual Sensor

A dual-sensor architecture eliminates dead-zone drop-outs across full 360° equatorial and polar orientations.

1000 Hz High-Speed Sampling

GPS 1 PPS-synchronized 1000 Hz sampling supports ~10 m/s survey speeds at roughly 1 cm sample spacing.

Self-Contained & UAV-Agnostic

Onboard GPS, Wi-Fi, and storage with hot-swappable batteries — no electrical connection to the aircraft required.
