Thermal and Spectral Data. One Flight. One Sensor.

Ideal for research, land management, and infrastructure inspections, the 6X Thermal empowers professionals to make informed decisions with precise, detailed data.

Thermal Mapping Made Easy

6X Thermal sensors are designed with thermal mapping in mind. Their synchronized and aligned imagery enables rig processing and makes orthorectifying thermal imagery more effective, producing thermal maps with ease.

Maximize Productivity

The 6X Series sensors' lightweight design, 5 FPS capture rate, synchronized image capture, and gimbal allow for faster & longer flights without sacrificing data quality — meaning you can cover more ground each flight.

Ease of Use

Plug-and-play integration on many popular UAS platforms, rig processing support, time-of-capture geo-tagging, and large internal storage reduce training requirements and streamline your workflow. 6X Series sensor data is supported in most multispectral image processing platforms.

Accuracy

Paired with an incident light sensor, calibrated reflectance panel, integrated pulse-per-second (PPS) synchronization, time-of-capture geotagging, and gimbal, 6X Series sensors are ready to produce radiometrically accurate data out of the box.

Seamless Data Layers

Vegetation Health, Thermal, Elevation, and RGB mosaics are easily overlaid with each other from their independent data layers, allowing for seamless analysis between layers and their respective features.

Advanced Visualization

Simultaneous data capture from the 6X Series sensors enables combining data types — like a hill shade derived from a DSM with a vegetation health map — to contextualize multispectral data with terrain variation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both sensors capture radiometric thermal data alongside four-band multispectral imagery. The difference is thermal resolution: the standard 6X Thermal captures thermal imagery at 320 × 256, while the Thermal Pro captures thermal imagery at 640 × 512. The Thermal Pro provides significantly more thermal detail for high-precision infrastructure inspection and detailed agriculture thermography. The 6X Thermal is the right choice for general thermal scouting, agriculture thermal mapping, and workflows where the increased resolution of the Thermal Pro is not required.
Yes. The 6X Thermal captures absolute surface temperature values per pixel, not just a relative visual heat gradient. This means you can measure actual temperatures, set anomaly thresholds, compare thermal maps between flights, and produce quantitative temperature documentation — all critical capabilities for professional inspection and agricultural thermography workflows.
The 6X Thermal is particularly effective for irrigation system scouting (detecting clogged or failing emitters, uneven distribution), early detection of water stress or frost damage, identifying soil drainage problems, and supporting variable-rate irrigation management. Combined with the simultaneous multispectral data, operators receive both a thermal view and a vegetation health view of the same field in one flight — significantly reducing scouting time and operational costs.
The 6X Thermal is compatible with Harris Aerial's H6 Electric, H6 Hybrid, H6 Hydrone, Hx8, Hx8 Tether, and H6HL Carrier drone platforms. Contact the Harris Aerial team to confirm the integration for your specific configuration, including any co-payload or mounting requirements.
Sentera's FieldAgent platform handles processing and analytics for both the thermal and multispectral data streams from the 6X Thermal. Thermal TIFF output is also compatible with FLIR thermal analysis tools, Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, and QGIS. Contact Harris Aerial for workflow recommendations specific to your application.
