Ultra-Sensitive Airborne Total-Field Magnetometer
MagNIMBUS is an integrated airborne magnetometer system powered by QuSpin Gen-2 atomic total-field sensors in a vertical gradiometer configuration. A foldable mount and ground-contact-safe design allow it to fly just centimeters above terrain — ideal for UXO detection, buried infrastructure, and high-resolution geophysical survey on Harris Aerial Carrier airframes.

Atomic Sensitivity, Ground-Level Resolution
QuSpin Gen-2 atomic sensing in a vertical gradiometer, flown low and safe over the survey area for clean, high-resolution magnetic data.
QuSpin Gen-2 Atomic Sensing
Optically pumped total-field magnetometer sensors deliver scalar sensitivity below 3 pT/√Hz with sample rates up to 1000 samples per second.
Vertical Gradiometer
A dual-sensor vertical separation isolates shallow, near-surface anomalies while suppressing regional gradients and diurnal magnetic drift.
Ground-Contact-Safe Clearance
Fly the sensor just tens of centimeters above terrain. If it brushes the ground or vegetation, it will not bring the aircraft down — critical for small UXO over vegetated fields.
SkyHub Computer & Altimeter
An onboard SkyHub computer logs data and drives terrain-following with a laser or radar altimeter, holding a consistent sensor height across the survey.
